'Our mission is to improve the performance of disadvantaged and/or SEND students by implementing and supporting collaborative systems to ensure individual needs are met'
Special Educational Needs in schools/academies is becoming a major Government focus during 2012 with changes to the Ofsted inspection framework.
- Are you involved with SEND, AEN, Inclusion and/or with the disadvantaged in a secondary school/academy?
- Do you want an approach which will support the Achievement
for All journey?
- Are some of the students in your secondary school/academy struggling to engage educationally due to learning and/or behaviour issues?
- Do you want to improve communication, participation and consistency in addressing this issue?
- As a Senco/Head of Inclusion, do you want to give all teachers the support to be able to understand, own and meet the individual needs of their students in a time efficient manner?
If yes, The Includer Approach could bring around a vastly enhanced
educational experience for your students
and support you in meeting the Ofsted requirements.
What is The Includer Approach?
Includer is a collaborative approach designed to increase whole school understanding of your students’ individual needs. It is particularly useful for those with special and additional educational needs (SEN/AEN), thereby improving learning and behaviour. It is supported by a web-based system which involves the whole school community in the creation of individualised learning and/or behaviour plans. From these, a simplified teaching group ‘Action Plan’ is produced which can be used by the subject teacher and teaching assistant for planning and delivering lessons.
The Includer Approach is for the development of your whole school and consists of:
- training for all staff
- project management
- a ‘web-based’ system which can be used as part of a learning platform
- integration with your management information system (to reduce workload and data repetition)
- ongoing support and updates
